Goud bloed

Inspiratie komt altijd uit onverwachte hoek. De natuur, een gebouw, maar ook een serie kan mijn gedachten op hol brengen en aansporen om iets moois op beeld te zetten. Fotografie is voor mij een verhaal vertellen, een gevoel oproepen. De serie Queen of the South vertelt een uniek verhaal. Aan de ene kant bestaat het beeld van roem en rijkdom dat met uitgebeeld wordt door de stralende gouden hand. Aan de andere kant kleeft er een zware geschiedenis en uithoudingsvermogen aan. Dit staat tevens voor alle selfmade entrepreneurs, top sporters en mensen die een droom of fantastische doel behaald hebben.

Mensen zien vaak alleen succes wanneer dit behaald is maar niet de weg ernaar toe. Weet waar je voor staat en wat je waard bent. Voor goud is veel dedication nodig. 

Gold blood

Inspiration always comes from an unexpected source. Nature, a building, but also a series can make my mind run wild and encourage me to put something beautiful on screen. Photography for me is telling a story, evoking a feeling. The Queen of the South series tells a unique story. On the one hand, there is the image of fame and fortune that is not portrayed by the radiant golden hand. On the other hand, it has a heavy history and endurance. This also stands for all self-made entrepreneurs, top athletes and people who have achieved a dream or fantastic goal.

People often only see success when it has been achieved but not the way to it. Know what you stand for and what you are worth. Gold requires a lot of dedication.
